SAHNOS Fellowship
Overview

SAHNOS in collaboration with IFHNOS (International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies) offer a unique head and neck oncology surgical fellowship to South African surgeons interested in head and neck, in order to expand their surgical expertise and improve good decision making, with the ultimate goal of improving care for head and neck cancer patients.

It is a unique fellowship in that there is both hands on surgical training and a course curriculum with online examinations periodically, with a final oral fellowship examination by international examiners at the end of the two year program. It is unique also because there are two centres in Gauteng where the fellow will get head and neck cancer care exposure. These centres are at Cintocare Head and Neck Hospital at Menlyn Maine in Pretoria and Mediclinic Morningside in Sandton, Johannesburg. The two fellowship directors at the two hospitals are Johann Kluge and Mark Torres-Holmes respectively.
